Bhupinder won her LOVE FOOD HATE WASTE title by using leftovers and is against all forms of food waste.
She has showcased how to use every part of a chicken at the Chester Food & Drink Festival in the past.
She has delivered cookery demonstrations at several food festivals including Mold, Wrexham, Wirral & Buckley. She takes cheap ingredients and magically transforms them into meals with her knowledge of spicing from her Punjabi heritage.
She has written a book featuring recipes from her childhood and learnt the skill of using spices from her mum. She loves teaching people about her heritage and will be showcasing how to make chapattis which are a traditional Indian flat bread. She will happily answer any questions about spices during the sessions she leads and cannot wait to be a “guest chef” at the Adult Cooking Classes at the festival.
Bhupinder is a teacher by profession and uses food as medium for teaching students about aspects of her Indian culture and heritage.
She has raised over £100,000 for charities by hosting BOLLYWOOD themed events and running a regular CURRY CLUB for which she cooks up vegan, vegetarian & meat options to be enjoyed in your own home. She offers cookery lessons featuring recipes from her book, “A TASTE OF THE PUNJAB” in her semi professional kitchen in Chester or in your own kitchen within the locality.
