Who is Cheshire’s best company when it comes to cooking. Who are the culinary geniuses & who simply can’t cut IT.
This competition brought to you by Harthill Cookery School and their owner Brian Mellor and We Love Good Times with their CEO Izzy Grey, will put you and your work colleagues through their paces on Tuesday 26th March to find our 2 Finalists.
The two finalists will then cook on the main stage at the Taste Cheshire Food and Drink Festival where, under the watchful eye of Simon Rimmer, we will crown the 2019 winner.
Each team will consist of 3 or 4 people. The choice is yours.
You must produce, in 45 minutes a starter, main course and dessert, with every member in the team contributing at some stage.
You will be judged on team work, appearance of the dish, complexity of cooking and finally the taste.
You may bring any specialist equipment with you but you may only bring pre-made pastries and jus’s.
Each team is expected to provide their own ingredients with special votes for those who manage to use local produce of Cheshire and North Wales to create their menu.
The winning Team will all be invited as guests of the festival to the awards dinner on the 24th April to receive their prizes.
The winners will receive a £320 voucher so they can take their workmates to dine at the Machine House, Rossett
The runners up will receive a £160 voucher to dine at the Machine House, Rossett
The cost of entering a team is £250 and covers your cooking day at Harthill, a pair of tickets to the Taste Cheshire Food and Drink festival for each team member, a £30 dining voucher for either Piccolinos or Opera Grill for each competitor and a donation to Chester’s Homeless Charity, Share Shop and Action the Hospitality Industry Charity
